Killer Palm Trees
In Los Vegas, Nevada, police say a landscaper died after becoming trapped by Palm fronds high up in a tree.  Strange as this might sound, authorities say it’s actually the second such case in the city within about 3 weeks.  (Jan 14, 2015)

In the city of Pennsylvania, California, (suspect whoever named this town was a practicla joker who wanted to confuse people) a feemale student athlete died after aparently inhaling chewing gum into her lungs while sleeping.  21-year-old Chanise Clark, a basketball player at California University at Pennsylvania was found unresponsive in her dorm room over the weekend. (1-20-2015) While cases like this are relatively rare, it might be a good idea nonetheless to have a quick talk with your kids about why they shouldn’t chew gun or eat candy in bed, or even while lying down, for that matter. Eating candy while lying on your back is a common cause of choking among children.
