One hidden type of car accident involves children tumbling from moving cars. Ususaly this happens when an unbuckled child opens the door and tumbles out of it. Other times children are thrown out an open window when the driver takes a curve too hard or fast, or they tumble out the back of an open pick-up truck. In any case, its yet one more reason to take seatbelt use seriously.
Kids Falling From the Back of Pick-up Trucks
- In Hardin, Montana, a 12-year-old girl died after falling from a tool box and hitting her head while riding in the back of a pick-up truck. The accident occurred on the Crow Reservation. (USA Today, 8-31-2016)
