Deadly Goofs
In Rapid City, South Dakota, a man accidentally shot and killed himself while fooling around at a party.  Colton Strangerhorse is said to have pulled a gun from his waistband and, thinking it was unloaded, put it to his head and pulled the trigger.  (3/5/2015)

Reckless But Lucky
Thirty-six-year-old Shannon Austin was fooling around  with a .22 caliber revolver which he thought was unloaded.  After pulling the trigger several times in the air to no affect, he turned the gun towards his head and pulled the trigger.  It fired.  Amazingly, the bullet hit his skull above an eye, but didn’t penetrate the bone.
