Man Kills Wife with Pellet Gun
In West Milford, New Jersey, a man was charged with reckless manslaughter after fatally shooting his wife with a pellet gun. Police said the matter appeared to be a “freak accident” with the gun that Frank McDonald normally used to shoot squirrels. (USA Today, 1-5-2008, p. 9A)

Child Dies After Being shot with BB Gun
In Louisville, Kentucky, an 11-year-old boy died after being shot in the chest by a BB gun. He was apparently shot by his 16-year-old uncle, and the bb ended up piercing his heart.
