Murdering a child is always a senseless and heinous act. But when these murders are random and indiscriminate in nature, it only adds to the senselessness of it all. Unfortunately, random & indiscriminate violence against children is becoming more and more common these days, as more and more people struggle with mental health issues, and more and more of our fellow citizens feel increasingly alienated from society. This creates a tendency to lash out with indiscriminate violence. Here are some examples of children falling victim to these senseless tragedies:

Girls Stabbed To Death at Taylor Swift-Themed Dance Workshop

In South Port, United Kingdom, three young girls–ages 6, 7 and 9–were stabbed to death at a dance studio while attending a Taylor-Swift themed dance workshop. Five other children were critically wounded. A 17-year-old was arrested for the stabbing spree. He was first reported to be a an undocumented immigrant with ties to a terrorist group, sparking angry riots in the area, but this turned out to be incorrect. The culprit, Axel Rudakubana, was actually a British-born citizen and the son of churchgoing Rwandan immigrant with no ties to any terrorist group. (The Week, Aug. 9, 2024, p. 8)
