It was an unusual Sunday afternoon in Dodge Center, Minnesota when an 11-year-old boy was arrested after leading police on a high speed chase that lasted about 75 minutes. His choice of vehicle, a stolen concrete mixer truck. Some reports put top speeds at more than 110 miles per hour through residential suburban neighborhoods. In Galion, Ohio, a 12-year-old middle school student was on pace to set a personal best in a cross-country race. Midway through the race, however, Makenna Finnegan, from Shelby Middle School, came upon another runner, 13-year-old Elaine Hohman, of Donnell Middle School. The rival runner was clutching her stomach and seemed to be in pain. So Makenna stopped to help. As a result of this intervention, both runners ended up being disqualified from the race.
