Boy Impelled with Stick While Riding ATV
In Newark, Ohio, a 13 year old boy was recovering after being impaled through the stomach by a stick while riding on the back of a four-wheeler at the Ohio Mudfest.  The stick narrowly missed a major artery.  Blade Wil-liams apparently pulled the stick out himself, and later had surgery at Columbus Hospital to remove and reconstruct more than six inches of his bowels, colon and intestines. Boy Dies While Riding With Older Brother
In Butte, Montana, Jefferson County officials said 7-year-old Jet Loushin died after an all terrain vehicle accident that occurred near Home Steak Pass.  Montana highway patrol captain Gary Becker says the boy was riding with his 12-year-old brother, who was driving the ATV through water when he lost control and crashed.  The older boy was unhurt; neither boy was wearing a helmet according to Becker.
