In Galion, Ohio, a 12-year-old middle school student was on pace to set a personal best in a cross-country race. Midway through the race, however, Makenna Finnegan, from Shelby Middle School, came upon another runner, 13-year-old Elaine Hohman, of Donnell Middle School. Child Killing Border Agent Finally Charged

This last week the indictment borer patrol agent Lonnie Swartz was announced. He was indited on 2nd degree murder for killing a 16-year-old Mexican teen 3 year ago on October 10, 2012. Swartz says he fired at people who were throwing rocks over the border. (As if kids throwing is justification to kill them.) In Macedonia, Ohio, 8-month-old Jayce Markell Benjamin was being shuttled to daycare with 3 other children. According to police, the unnamed parent or guardian left the baby behind when dropping off the kids. Death By Peanut

In Littleton, Colorado, a teenage boy died after accidentally eating something with peanuts. Sixteen-year-old Simon Katz was attending a home-coming week bonfire at Chatfield High School, and apparently consumed a treat containing peanuts.  He later died at an area hospital. Though relatively rare, around 100 people die each year from similar allergic reactions, most of them to food allergies. Some people are so sensitive that even trace amounts can be lethal. Saving Bella

We now know that little Bella was just shy of her 3rd birthday when she was murdered. According to the story given by the mother, she and her boyfriend were having trouble getting Bella to sleep one night. The boyfriend then said, “I’ll get her to sleep.” Then went to put the little girl to bed. Later on, the mother went in to find the little girl listless, her face swollen. Mystery Girl Identified

A couple months ago we wrote about the case of the mystery girl who was found dead in a trash bag on June 25th in the New England area. Now, finally, we actually know who she is. Police have identified the child as Bella Bond, a local girl from Boston who was apparently 3-year-old when she died.
