Preschooler Hit By Car At Birthday Party

3-30-08 A 3-year-old Arizona boy was hit by a truck while playing outside at a birthday party. The boy apparently ran out into the street while playing among friends and was struck. Several other children at the party witnessed the accident. The boy was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. 9-Month-Old Overdoses on Cocaine

3-30-08 Emergency personnel responding to a 911 call airlifted a  9-month-old girl to the hospital. The child was having seizures and had stopped breathing. “She was unresponsive, her body was flaccid” reported a nurse in the ER. Doctors worked feverishly to revive the child. 3-28-08 Forty-four children on a field trip to an Aquarium in Chattanooga, Tennessee, were dealt a scary experience as their bus driver passed out at the wheel. The bus was owned by Adventure Bus Charter & Tours, Inc., of Sumiton. A math teacher on the bus, Amy King, tried to take hold of the wheel to keep the coach from swerving into oncoming traffic. Judge Rules Against Murder Charge in Fetus’ Death

3-20-08 Twenty-four-year-old Logan Lage was originally charged with murder and 16 other related charges in connection with a November 6, 2007 head on collision. His vehicle rammed a car driven by 26-year-old Shea Lehnen. Shea was 8 1/2 months pregnant at the time, and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Denver, where doctors performed a cesarean  section.
