Woman Arrested Over Spaghettios

Boy Scouts Swept Away In Flood

In New Mexico over the weekend a flash flood inundated the campsite where a group of boy scouts were camping, sweeping 4 of them away in the floodwater.  One boy was unaccounted for and later confirmed to have died. Parent Blasts School’s “Culture of Bullying”

A distrait parent in Edgar, Wisconsin, is demanding changes at Edgar High School where his son Jonathan was relentlessly bullied. Jonathan committed suicide on May 28th, yet another in the long line of bullyside victims.  Father Steve Wesener says the school district failed to recognize the “culture of bullying” that existed.  He is calling on other concerned parents to join him in instituting reform.  For more information on school bullying and how to prevent it, visit this link.

Teens Swept Away In Flooded Creek

In Brecksville, Ohio, 3 teenagers had to be rescued after being swept away by strong currents in the flooded waters of Chippewa Creek Gorge. The 3 teens, two girls and a boy, had wondered into a no-swimming zone when they were swept away. All were able to climb onto longs about 100 feet downstream before rescueres could get to them. These teens were lucky, but your kids might not be. Be sure to teach them about water safety.

Bear Attacks Sleeping Boy

A 16-year-old boy from Ohio was injured in a bear attack at Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  It was around 10:30pm on a Saturday night and both father and son were sleeping in hammocks around 10 feet apart.  The pair were on a backpacking trip through the mountains.  The boy awoke when the bear pulled him from the hammock.
