Man Committing Suicide Lands On Family Car
11-3-2007
A man climbed atop a bridge on U.S. 6 in Denver, Colorado, in an attempt to commit suicide. While standing on the bridge, witnesses said he appeared to be having second thoughts, when he lost his balance and slipped. He tried to grab the edge of the bridge, but couldn’t keep his grip. He plummeted to the highway below, crashing through the back window of a car with 3 children inside.
“The children were traumatized,” said Lt. Phil Champagne,
spokesman for the Denver fire department, but escaped the
incident without physical injury. The man attempting suicide was listed in critical condition.
