Kenyon police kill 9-year-old girl in protest crackdown
In yet another example of how bullets often don’t end up where they are meant to go, police in Kenya shot and killed a little girl in the process of cracking down a post-election protest. Nine-year-old Stefanie Moraa was killed August 12 after being struck by a stray police bullet in the heart of Mathare. “She was just a girl, she was only playing” said her mother Damagrin Marubb. “She didn’t vote, she didn’t protest, why would they kill her?” (Wall Street Journal, 8-17-17, p. A16)

In Carroll County, Georgia, two teenage girls lost their life when the car they were in was broadsided by a state patrol trooper.
