An 8-year-old girl dialed a toll-free number for what she thought was a sexual assault counseling center. Instead, she found herself connected to a live sex chat line. She had retrieved the number from a state website which listed the North Central Florida Sexual Assault Center as a resource. However, the facility had shut down months ago. The phone number had then been bought by a sex chat company. Florida officials corrected the problem.
