Second Graders Story Leads To Pot Bust
Kids aren’t very good at keeping secrets. The latest person to find this out the hard way is a man who let his girlfriend’s son help with his indoor marijuana plantation.
In Winsor, Vermont, an 8-year-old boy told a story to the class about helping a farmer grow “special medicine” inside his house. This apparently made his teacher suspicious, even had the boy tell his story to a Winsor police detective. According to an affidavit, the boy said that he was allowed to help his mother’s boyfriend grow this “special medicine that can cure anything at all.”
Police investigated and found the pot farm. The “farmer,” 54-year-old Steven Mann, was arrested on a felony count of cultivating more than 25 marijuana plants. I guess you shouldn’t trust an 8-year-old to help you with your illegal pot operation! Who knew?
