Assault With A Paper Airplane

It seems our nation’s schools are rapidly becoming humorless police zones. Here’s yet another example: In Andrews, South Carolina, a high school student was charged with assault for allegedly throwing a paper airplane that struck a teacher in the eye. The charge could land the student in jail for up to a month. Local news reported that the teacher had recently undergone eye surgery. Still, must we constantly overreact to every little incident of student shenanigance with a hard-handed response … Continue reading →

Little Girl Tries To Play Santa, Gets Stuck In Chimney

In Clearwater, Florida, an 8-year-old girl had to be rescued after getting herself stuck in the chimney of a big empty house. The house was next door to where the child, Isabelle Cooke lived. Apparently she made it to the roof using a pole. Then she either climbed in or fell in the chimney and slid to the bottom. The chimney had no opening inside the house. So rescue crews had to chip away part of the chimney to retrieve … Continue reading →

Bullets Flying At Day Care Centers

When you drop your kids off at child care, you might expect a toy or two to be flying around, but certainly not bullets. Yet that’s exactly what happened in Calumet City, Illinois. A 47-year-old day care worker was going about her normal routine when a bullet flew through the window at the facility, striking her in the face and injury that sent her to the hospital. Needles to say the woman wasn’t the intended target. It’s just one more … Continue reading →

Ten-Year-Old Stops Rape

In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a 10-year-old boy is being credited with stopping a man who was raping his mother. The boy apparently struggled with the man and hit him, causing the suspect to stop the attack. The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office said Daniel Hinton was arrested and charged with second degree rape. What this boy did probably isn’t the wisest course of action, but in this situation, it seems to have worked out well in the end.

Road Rage With A BB Gun

In Mesa, Arizona, a father and son who were on their way home from work were shot at twice with an airsoft BB gun in an apparent road rage incident. The other driver reportedly became angry because the man wasn’t driving fast enough for her. A woman from Apache Junction was charged with aggravated assault and endangerment. (I wonder how fast they’ll be in processing her into jail.) I’m just thankful that all she had was a BB gun. … Continue reading →
