Children Left On the School Bus
4-Year-Old Left On Bus
In Indianapolis, Indiana, state legislators introduced a bill that would require school bus drivers to do end-of-route inspections to make sure no child is still aboard. Those who failed to do so would face a $500 fine. The legislation was introduced after a 4-year-old boy was left on a bus in Richmond, and three South Bend students were left on school buses in separate incidents last year.
